Job Location: Quincy, MA
Duration: 6+ Months
The Data Warehouse Analysis will oversee the operational aspects of the Data Warehouse. This position will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the daily batch cycles, the production ETL process, emergency patches and developing long term data warehouse strategies. Must be a strong lead analyst and developer with excellent communication skills; having a thorough understanding of Data Warehousing technologies and strategies.
Job Responsibilities:
• Ensure timely and error free operation and modification of all Data Warehouse systems and legacy systems.
• Serve as the focal point for data requests to analyze user requirements and information needs and produce the required data either in reports or data sets.
• Develops technical specifications; monitors programming development; prepares system documentation; monitors system change request documentation.
• Review and approve development deliverables such as requirement documents, systems change requests and detailed design documents based on user requirement documents and use cases.
• Work with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Developers, Architects, and Technical Infrastructure resources to ensure System Design standards are met.
• Confers and coordinates with end users for project planning, system request prioritization, and providing project status updates; and performs related work as required.
Skills needed:
• Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with project managers, developers, business analysts, systems analysts and end users.
• Exceptional Oracle SQL skills
• Thorough knowledge of data warehouse principals and techniques
• Highly analytic, with the ability to independently analyze and design eligibility systems.
Experience required:
• Broad knowledge of analysis and design standards and techniques
• Experience creating requirement documents and detailed design documents.
• Experience in documenting code and processes for distribution to interested parties
• Experience with ORACLE and TOAD for ORACLE.
• Experience with ERD analysis tools
• Experience with J2EE.
Experience desired:
• Experience with providing query writing support and tuning expertise to end users
• Working knowledge of Rational Unified Process Development Methodology with focus on requirements and detailed design management.
• Experience with Rational Interactive Tools
• BS/ BA degree or equivalent and five or more years of experience in the IT Industry
• Experience with TAFDC, EAEDC and SNAP(FS) policy
