Location: Denver, CO/ Melbourne, FL

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Job description:

Desired skill set:

      Familiarity with many aspects of the GE Smallworld GIS Software and the Magik programming language, or related GIS and/or Object-Oriented design and programming education/experience

      Good problem solving and analytical skills

      Understands user requirements and performs system and application design based on the analysis of those requirements to improve the client's existing GIS systems

      Develops custom GIS applications using Magik or other relevant application development languages

      Assists with data modeling configuration

      Develop applications using industry-standard programming languages such as C++, Java, or others as dictated by specific project requirements

      Knowledge and experience with Web Services, XML, Microsoft .NET Framework

      Familiarity with Oracle databases and PL/SQL

      Assists with interface design and development to external systems

      Adheres to coding standards and complies with quality software quality

      Excellent oral and written communication skills and able to discuss complex technology in a clear and concise manner with a variety of audiences

      Electric Office

      Gas Distribution Office

      Global Transmission Office

      PowerOn

      Logical Network Inventory

      GeoSpatial Analysis

      GeoSpatial Server

      FieldSmart

Programming Languages:

      Magik

      JAVA scripting
