Role: Build /Release Engineer

Location: SFO, CA

Duration: 6 Months Extendable

 

• Establish, manage, and maintain software source control system, repositories and workspaces for project and product development
• Document and manage continuous software build, test, installation and deployment processes
• Work with developers to perform branching, merging, and versioning of the software
• Troubleshoot compile, build and installation failures and facilitate resolution
• Manage the release of software components into development, staging, and production environments
• Work with technical leads to review deployment plans and release management solutions
• Integrate bug tracking, code analysis tools, development environment, regression test environment etc. with the source control system for monitoring and metrics gathering (python, node.js)

• Manage the build system improvement roadmap and technology improvements to ensure team meets its goals

 

Languages:

Intermediate Java, strong Bash, strong Python.

Tools:

Jira, Fisheye, Greenhopper, Sonar, Coverity, App Dynamics, Service Now
