Job Title: Business Analyst (HealthCare)
Location: Rochester, MN
Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Must Have Experience with:
Web Application Development
Agile development methodologies
BPMN, MS Word, Excel and Visio
Business Intelligence and Reporting Applications
This project is a clinical improvement program focused on using all available clinical data (medical records, labs, pathology, radiology, etc.) to monitor individual patient care. The program combines data processing capabilities such as natural language processing (NLP), complex event processing, and rule evaluation to organize and enrich healthcare data stream and derive actionable insights.
The current environment requires someone who can be given a challenge and immediately dive in, be aggressive and consult with client leadership to create a leading edge product. Must be someone that has proven experience working closely with the business and technical/design architects to collaboratively create a comprehensive, best practice driven solution. Must be able to discuss & derive requirements with a variety of stakeholders from both a technical, healthcare practice as well as business perspective. Must thrive in a changing environment.
Seasoned professional with strong business analysis experience and skills including the ability to lead requirements sessions and work collaboratively with colleagues across business, product management, IT, and user experience.
The first position will focus on requirements surrounding the rules engine being built at the heart of this leading edge technology. It will require someone with experience taking business logic and working with the development teams to build rules. Experience with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) is a priority and/or excellent Visio skills.
General Skills required:
BS in business or computer science field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
Experience with web application development
Strong analytical skills and business acumen
5+ yrs of direct Business Analyst with documented experience in the healthcare industry
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Experience writing functional specs, use cases/user stories, and DFDs
Proficient with BPMN, MS Word, Excel and Visio
Experience with Business Intelligence and reporting applications a plus
