Position - ETL Developer/ DBA 

Location - Des Moines IA

Duration - 6 months with extensions

Job responsibilities will span requirements gathering, ETL development/data transformation, SSAS cube development and creation & modification of stored procedures in support of SSRS report development. 

 

DBA/ETL:

 

This position will be a member of a team but will need to work independently.  They will report to a Senior Architect/DBA but will require self-direction.  Job responsibilities will span requirements gathering, ETL development/data transformation, SSAS cube development and creation & modification of stored procedures in support of SSRS report development. This candidate should be an expert in creating, modifying and maintaining stored procedures which will be used to transform data from existing data marts into Analysis Services databases for consumption by Performance Point dashboards and SSRS reports.   This position includes enhancements and new development of an existing solution.

 

•             Proficient using MS SQL 2005 or later and writing relational database queries and stored procedures using SQL.

•             Experience extracting data from a large variety of sources, transforming and loading to a SSAS database.

•             Evaluate and address data quality issues.

•             Developing error checking and resolution routines.

•             Must adhere to development and security standards.

•             Experience developing data sets for consumption by Reporting Services.

•             Experience in interacting with customers regarding data processing and reporting requirements.

•             Experience working with BI developer for solution delivery.

•             Experience writing custom MDX.

•             Strong business writing and interpersonal skills necessary for customer contact.
