Mid/Senior Hadoop Developer

Celerity, a business acceleration consultancy, is actively seeking Hadoop Developer who are creative, collaborative and continuously challenge themselves to do better.
Position Description
Developer will be responsible for the design and development for porting existing batch processes (primarily SQL and UNIX) written against MPP platform databases (Netezza / Greenplum) to Hadoop/AWS eco-system.
Skills/Qualifications:
1. Required: 5+ years IT experience
2. Required: 4+ years of experience in software design and development of large scale, fault tolerant and scalable batch processing applications
3. Required: 2+ years of experience in development utilizing Hadoop APIs and MapReduce jobs for large scale data processing.
4. Required: Strong capabilities in SQL programming (including analytic function knowledge and large volume tuning experience)
1. Required: Strong background in Big Data technologies and Hadoop ecosystem (i.e. Hive, Pig, Flume, Storm, etc.)
2. Required: Strong verbal and written communication skills
3. Preferred: Experience implementing HIVE solutions in a Production environment.
4. Preferred: Experience working with NoSQL data stores like HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.
5. Preferred: Experienced in developing, testing, debugging and maintaining software utilizing the AWS APIs and technologies (AWS EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Glacier, Security Groups, CloudFront etc.)
