We are looking for a SharePoint Administrator to support world's leader in providing IT consulting and software services to the finest global organizations client.

This is a Contract extendible Position based in Jacksonville, FL

 

Role: SharePoint Administrator

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Duration: 6 Months – 1 Year Contract

 

Job Responsibilities –

 

·         SharePoint upgrade and migration experience is must from 2010 to 2013 farms (mid to Large size), must have strong troubleshooting experience in big size farms

·         Work with customer to build knowledge repository, resolve escalated issues, and perform project management activities.

·         Guide and lead the team in configuring the application in line with the design documents, plan the activities of configuration and development with the PM, work with product vendors to resolve product issues.

·         Anchor end-to-end consulting proposal, lead proposal building.

·         Perform research on market movement and propose new solutions.

·         Lead a team of consultants in understanding as is business process, pain areas of customer, perform high level fit-gap analysis, process changes, benchmarking, and assist consultants in resolving complex requirements.

·         Participate in regular SharePoint administration activities involving installation and configuration of SharePoint servers 2007 & 2010.

·         Ability to manage client expectations, foresee risks and propose proactive measure to stabilize the SharePoint environment and thereby reducing incidents.

·         Provide best practices and recommendations to client during Planning and Architecture phase of new SPS setup.

·         Understand customer's change and release management process and propose a structured approach to client for managing the change/release using multiple communication mechanisms.

·         Provide on call support for business critical issues.

·         Participate in client discussion to understand the current set up and suggest performance tuning measure.

·         Analyze the problem faced by the customer, participates in customer discussions, gets further data from customer if required, assist team members, reviews their work and provides solutions to articulate problem statement

·         Demonstrate ability to work productively with a wide range of people and effectively present information to customers.

·         Work with customer to build knowledge repository, resolve escalated issues, and perform project management activities.

·         Guide and lead the team in configuring the application in line with the design documents, plan the activities of configuration and development with the PM, work with product vendors to resolve product issues.

Skills:-

In-depth knowledge in Implementation/Installation and configuration of multi-server SharePoint 2007/2010/2013 farm with hands on experience in administration, upgrade & migration activities. Experience in migrating farm from MOSS 2007 to SharePoint 2010 and from 2010 to 2013 is must. Very good knowledge on SharePoint basics (WSS and SPS features, Administration, Knowledge on lists and document library) and working experience on configuration, deployment and maintenance (Site configuration, back up, restore, disaster recovery and template manipulation) Proficiency in MS SQL( 2000/2005/2008) and working knowledge in AD is desirable. Installing the third party Component. Upgrading the farm with "Microsoft Cumulative patches". Migrating applications to SharePoint farm using/integrating 3rd party tools.
