Position:- Consultant VB6 / VB.NET / UNIX Programmer, New York, NY
Duration: Ongoing / Long Term (possible temp to hire)
Location: Onsite in midtown Manhattan, New York, NY

Industry Sector: Professional Services
Experienced computer programmer/analyst required to work on a VB6 to .NET conversion.
Technical skills:
· C
· Visual Basic (6.0, .Net)
· Perl
· PHP
· Database: SQL Server, Sybase
· Unix shell (Solaris, BSD)
· ColdFusion
· Web Technologies: ASP.Net 2.0, JSP, JavaScript
Additional consideration will be given to candidates who have experience in the following areas:
· Accounting, Finance
· Familiarity with professional services firms
· Excel (design, lookups, pivot tables)
· VBA (Word, Excel)
· Experience with HTML/XML/CSS
· proCube or other BI product
· Cognos Impromptu and PowerPlay
Ideal candidates will possess:
· Ability to work without supervision
· Strong analytical skills
· Problem-solving approach to projects
· Experience with user support
· Ability to write clear & concise program documentation
