Must have Hortonworks experience and 9+Years Consultant needed

Job Title:    Big Data Architect – Hortonworks/Hadoop

Location:    Bellevue, Washington 

Duration:    6-12 months Contract

Required Experience

Strong experience in the HortonWorks platform

At least 9-10 years of experience in software development life cycle of Java, J2EE technologies including 3-4 years of experience with Big Data Technologies (Sqoop, MapReduce, Hive, Flume, Kafka, Hbase, etc.,), and Teradata, HANA.

Strong Oracle and SQL knowledge is preferred

At least 2 years of experience in Design and architecture review.

Experience in Hadoop Cluster Configuration and Tuning.

Good to have experience in migration projects preferably migration from Oracle and SQL Server.

Good knowledge in writing multi threaded Java programs to ingest data into Hadoop from any file system

Hands on experience in Hortonworks Distribution framework 

Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment

Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment 

Experience in delivering projects using Big Data technologies, Teradata and SAP HANA.
