Job Title: .NET Developer (Production Support)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Length:  6 months to start

Interview Process: Phone Screen, then In-person / Skype interview

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Coordinate with various teams, analyze root cause and assist in efficient resolution of all production issues.

·         Coordinate with IT groups and external vendors, as required to ensure site reliability.

·         Write and unit test .NET code to resolve production issues.

·         Assist with code deployments

·         Analyze site production issues and work towards to resolve them.

·         Estimate time required to complete production support tasks.

·         Escalate issues that cannot be resolved independently in a timely manner.

·         Provide status updates to management as required

 

Required skills:

 

·         3-5 years of experience in a production support role

·        Strong problem solving and excellent communication skills and prior experience with working in a production support environments is a must have

·         Experience in C# / .NET  (version 4.0)– Working knowledge of .NET, ASP NET, Visual Studio build process is desired

·        Source Control (SVN)

·        HTML5

·       Comfortable working with MS SQL Server database

·        CSS 3 (less)

·       jQuery

·         JavaScript

 

Good to have:

·         Twitter bootstrap

·         IIS – Basic understanding of IIS setup, debugging using IIS log file, tweaking configuration of IIS servers etc.

·         SharePoint

·        Knowledge of Ektron (version 8.5) content management system
