We are looking for a Hadoop developer support world's leader in providing IT consulting and software services to the finest global organizations client.
This is a 3-6 Months Contracts based in Milpitas, CA.
Role: Hadoop developer
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: 3-6 Contract
Experience: 9 – 14 years
Job Description:
· Background of a senior Hadoop developer with data transformation design experience
· Performance tuning and guiding development of enterprise ETLs residing on a MapR Hadoop Distribution.
· Well versed in Big Data fundamentals such as HDFS and YARN.
· More than a working knowledge of Hive is required with understanding of partitioning/reducer size/block sizing/etc.
· Preferably, the candidate has a strong knowledge of Spark on either Python or Scala.
· Knowledge of other industry ETL tools (including No SQL) such Cassandra/Drill/Impala/etc. is a plus.
· The candidate should be comfortable with Unix and standard enterprise environment tools/tech such as ftp/scp/ssh/Java/Python/etc.
· Proficiency in any of these utilities is plus - Utilities such as Informatica BDE, Pentaho, Mule, Talend,
· Code review, performance tuning of No SQL queries ,
· Coordinate and review Pre-production activities
· Strong communication skills – verbal and written for both internal and external relationships.
· Good knowledge on the concepts of Data Warehousing, Data Marts, Dimensional Modeling, Fact and Dimensional Tables.
