Position: SQL Server DBA
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: One year
US citizen or Green card only. Possible RTH

Daily Responsibilities include: performance of DBA responsibilities, including performance monitoring, optimization, storage, backup, design, and implementation of databases; download and compile text files into storage for processing; maintain DSB environments within two physical servers; continue data migration from WPS to MySQL; complete weekly compilations for reporting; complete compilations for 3x monthly reporting in WPS; maintain data in a secure environment
Long Term Responsibilities: Translate WPS code into MySQL; build processes in MySQL that will align FD data with external records; perform stored procedures on demand; improve efficiency of existing environment through restructuring; develop processes and environments for enhanced merchant record data set (EMT Initiative)
Candidate Requirements:
• Database: MS SQL Server/SQL Express, MySQL, ORACLE
• Programming: SQL, SAS/WPS, Stored Procedures, SharePoint
• Applications: Toad, Tableau, MS Access, MS Excel
• Hardware: RAID driver, configuration
Preferred Qualifications:
• Hadoop/Hive/Impala experience
• Experience data governance and data quality processes
