Job Details:
Job Title : .NET Architect
Location : Stratford, CT
Duration : Long Term Contract (12 months or more)
***Must be US Citizen or GC Holder ONLY***
Responsibilities:
Seeking .NET Architect/Tech Lead with a programming background to support application modernization initiative from VB6 to C#/.NET. Some application support and maintenance will be required on the legacy application.
Key responsibilities will include:
§ Designing of new application framework
§ End-to-end application lifecycle management
§ New and enhanced functionality designs and documentation
§ Code development and modification
§ Support of application test cycles
§ Providing daily operational application support, Level 2-3.
§ Driving resolution of application trouble and request tickets
§ Developing of custom application enhancements and bug fixes
Required Skills:
The qualified candidate will have proven experience in the following:
§ C#.NET, HTML 5, Angular, Oracle PL/SQL, MVC framework
§ Knowledge of Visual Basic 6 (VB6) or ability to learn
The ideal candidate possesses:
§ Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
§ Ability to understand existing (and undocumented) designs, solutions, and applications, and apply that knowledge towards designing and implementing technical solutions
§ Has excellent understanding of application servers, multi-tier architectures ( presentation to persistence )
§ Has ability to work directly with the client, walk-through architecture and design reviews, understand business requirements
§ Has a "do whatever it takes attitude", dedication to quality, ability to work independently, and attention to detail
§ Has excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills
§ Experience in providing technical consulting on complex projects;
§ Experience using Visual Studio
§ Experience in MS-SQL Server
§ Experience building enterprise level solutions
§ Expertise in delivering complete solutions to clients
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
§ Ability to work directly with the client
§ The ability to work independently
§ The ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
