we have below 6 + month contract in  Charlotte, NC .please let me know if you have any one.

Posiiton: Oracle + DB2 + ETL – DBA

Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities:

•       The position requires a hands-on database technologist with both database administration and database development experience. Also required is advanced expertise in performance tuning activities. Good written & verbal communication skills are needed to work with various project teams. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, able to drive tasks to completion independently, and able to learn new skills on the job as project requirements expand.

•       Supporting the day to day development activities by working with the application development team on database issues including the following technologies

o   DB2 LUW v8 and above

o   Oracle 11g and 12c

o   AbInitio v3

o   DataStage v9

o   Solaris and AIX UNIX and shell scripting

•       Performance tuning/troubleshooting complex queries and server performance issues

•       Run system performance tests in the database lab

•       Recommend improvements in the reporting and batch processing code based on analysis of system snapshots and database logs

•       Participate in the production support activities on a 24x7 basis

•       Lead database code reviews Skills Required

•       5 years or more experience in the database development lifecycle

•       5 years or more experience in design, development and support of large Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence related database applications

•       5 years experience with DB2 LUW and ORACLE database administration

•       3 years database programming including stored procedure and trigger development

•       3 years ETL development and/or administration, AbInitio and/and/or DataStage platform preferred

•       Experience with VLDB (very large database) environments

•       Strong SQL skills including the ability to rewrite complex queries to improve performance

•       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•       Ability to prioritize, multitask and work with onshore and offshore teams

•       Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience and 10 years of experience working with various database management systems in database design, testing, implementation, maintenance and administration in a multiple platform environment.
