Title: Data Architect
Loc: Richmond, Virginia
Duration:6 months
Essential Skills/Competencies:
• Extensive experience with Data Modeling and Database Design
• Extensive experience mapping data and building out data integrations between disparate database systems
• Ability to engage in detailed analysis of data discrepancies to determine the source and resolution of errors
• Ability for an end-to-end vision (see how a logical design will translate into one or more physical databases, and how the Data will flow through the successive stages involved for presentation to an end-user)
• Ability to understand the business data needs and translate into data models (DFDs, DSDs and/or ERDs)
• Experience with ETL tools
• Experience with integration between COTS package databases and relational databases
• Data Validation, Cleansing, Mapping, Extraction and Migration
• SQL (PL/SQL is a plus)
• Create and manage Data Dictionaries
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and logical thinking
• Clear and concise documentation skills
• High level knowledge of programming practices
• Aptitude for learning new technologies/applications/businesses
• Excellent presentation, communication and customer service skills while maintaining a professional manner
• Self-motivated team player – able to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines when required
• Remain flexible on changing workloads and priorities
• Ability to communicate with diversified stakeholders
• 5 yrs. Microsoft CRM 2011 is required (additional experience in more current versions is also a plus).
• Experience Updating data in CRM 2011 with an ETL tool is required (Scribe Insight experience for managing data manipulations/integrations is a plus).
• Data Warehousing is a plus
• Business Intelligence skills are a plus
Experience:
• 5+ years of normalized Data Modeling and Database Design (dimensional modeling a plus)
• 5+ years of experience in data-centric positions or roles
• 3+ years of data management experience
5 yrs. Microsoft CRM 2011 is required (additional experience in more current versions is also a plus).
• Experience Updating data in CRM 2011 with an ETL tool is required (Scribe Insight experience for managing data manipulations/integrations is a plus).
• 3+ years of SQL (PL/SQL is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with ETL Tools
• Public Sector background/experience is a plus
