Position: VRA/VRO Consultant
Location: Princeton, NJ
Duration: 9 months
Client: VMware
Job Description:
Assist in the planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for our growing vRA and vRO environments.
- Utilizes effective engineering practices that support standards, which ultimately enhance vRA and vRO availability, deployments, performance, monitoring and reliability
- Responsible for ensuring that the vRA and vRO infrastructure and tenants have been designed and installed to meet customer requirements on contracted solutions
- Responsible for building new tenants, upgrading platforms, participating in the solutioning and architecting of our current and future vRA and vRO platform.
- Help troubleshoot virtualization and storage problems and incidents vRA and vRO.
- Maintain best practices, knowledge articles, system diagrams, problem/resolution articles for use as reference and solving future issues
- Evaluates vRA and VRO performance to ensure that there are no delays or downtimes and works independently on complex issues to ensure that the infrastructure stays operational and up to Cloud Standards
- Assists in the evaluation of new products, performs infrastructure problem resolution and assists in the development and documentation of technical standards and interface applications
- Participate in the creation of work instructions and knowledge base articles, update support documentation through evergreen process
- Able to work on their own initiative and support more junior engineers to achieve project goals and outcomes
- Perform the responsibilities of the job by adhering to internal control policies and procedures.
