Duration: 3-6+ months
Job description:
Detailed job description - Skill Set:
• Work with client software architect and subject matter experts to implement proper software solution.
• Complete all coding for approved module design and their integration to client software system.
• Code to provided client coding standards and guidelines. Fully participating code review and discuss and address code review notes by the client.
• Fully participating development Team's SCRUM practices including attending Planning, Demo, Daily Standup, Retrospective and other related meetings. Priority of the work item should be done in accordance with project team's SCRUM planning.
• Use clients development tool to track development status in time per required from the team.
• Provide necessary support to QA for testing user stories. The software development item is only accepted after QA approves and code quality is reviewed and accepted by the Halliburton SCRUM project team.
• Provide all necessary support for cross knowledge transfer on development items involved to client project team.
Mandatory Skills Must haves:
• C#, .NET, MVVM, WPF, Prism, DI/IOC, Unit Testing, SQL Server, ORM
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills
• Self-starter, requires minimum supervision
• Quick learner on new technical and domain knowledge required
• Software engineering experience in object-oriented design and design patterns to realize mid to large size Windows applications
• Must understand the need to and be willing to develop unit and integration tests
• Experience in agile/scrum teams using TFS
• Solid understanding of the software development process and experience working on agile teams
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related field. Advanced degree is preferred.
• Coordinate with offshore team and hold the responsibility of overall deliverables
• Domain Knowledge: Oil and Gas Well Planning
• Excellent Oral/Written Communication skills
• Team Collaboration
Good to Have Skills Nice to haves:
•NHibernate, MEF, Domain driven design, Drilling/Planning domain or other oil and gas/scientific software development experiences, Async programming, Multithreading, Task API, Microsoft Open XML, MS Word mail merge
