Duration : 6+ Months

 

Skill:

â¿¢         Ubuntu Linux, monitoring, troubleshooting

â¿¢         Knowledge of transport layers, webservices

â¿¢         Apache, Tomcat

â¿¢         Packet captures

â¿¢         Write scripts - bash, python to reproduce issues

â¿¢         Extensive troubleshooting experience

Responsibilities:

â¿¢         Provide technical leadership and mentoring for System Administrators.

â¿¢         Propose and implement system changes to improve stability and efficiencies of service.

â¿¢         Act as a point of escalation for Sys Admins

â¿¢         Troubleshoot chronic issues as they arise.

â¿¢         Provide feedback for product bug fixes, enhancements and needed test cases.

â¿¢         Provide mentoring to other System Administrators.

â¿¢         Develop and document procedures.

â¿¢         Perform on call rotation duties periodically.

Qualifications

â¿¢         12+ years experience supporting computer systems within a live service environment.

â¿¢         Bachelorâ¿¿s Degree or higher preferred (CS, EE, Math, Information Technology or other technical area)

â¿¢         Proficient Linux administration skills.

â¿¢         Experience with high availability internet based systems.

â¿¢         Experience with database configurations and administration including SQL.

â¿¢         Experience with network architectures including web servers, web caches, databases, storage area networks, clustered storage systems, routing, etc..

â¿¢         Experience with administrative use of scripting such as BASH, Python and SQL scripting languages.

â¿¢         Experience with monitoring systems.

â¿¢         Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

â¿¢         Demonstrated experience producing technical documentation.  Please bring examples.

â¿¢         Self-motivated with good decision-making abilities.

â¿¢         Strong logical and problem-solving skills
