My name is Anu from InTone Networks Inc. a leading global staffing and IT consulting company.
Role: Database Developer & Administrator with Java Developer knowledge (42423)
Location : West Valley City, UT
Duration : Long term
NOTE : ONLY GC, GC EAD And USC
Responsibilities
· Resident MS SQL expert for the product
· Backup for the Oracle DBA
· Collaborate with the development teams and produce database code to support the application
· Make configuration and hardware sizing recommendations for product performance baselines and specific client needs including database replication, clustering and advising on disaster recovery plans
· Third level support for client issues related to the database (Mostly during business hours.
· On average after hours support is only needed once or twice a month and it is usually scheduled)
· Ideally this role would end up splitting its time between DBA responsibilities and Java development. This is not a requirement but would be nice to have.
What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities?
· Expert MS SQL Server Database Administration knowledge
· Expert MS SQL Server Database Development knowledge
· Advanced Oracle DBA and Development knowledge
· Advanced Java development knowledge
· Experience with Object Relation Mapping tools
