BA with BI

 

Location: Cupertino, CA

Duration: 6+ Months

Rate : Market

 

Job Description:

·         Work with users to understand their needs and articulate that through requirement and functional specifications, and through playback sessions

·         Interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements

·         Perform data analysis pertinent to the business problem and develop knowledge of a specific business domain over time, and become a SME

·         Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests

·         Collaborate with Business, PM, and Technology team to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs

·         Serves as the conduit between the users and the development team

·         Attend design reviews conducted by technical team and ensure that business requirements are being met

·         Perform QA to ensure the solutions are tested properly and signed off by key users

·         Develop and maintain project documentation including requirements, functional specifications, test plans, presentations, user documentations and training materials

 

Mandatory Skills:

·         Minimum five years of experience performing BA role preferably on BI projects

·         Experience in working directly with Business stakeholders as representative of IT team

·         Analytical with ability understand and interpret the business data

·         Strong oral and written communication including ability to create Keynote/PowerPoint presentations and good in negotiation

·         SQL querying experience is a must

·         Team player (very important) and be able to work independently with little supervision.

·         Data warehouse tools and technology such as Business Objects, Oracle, Teradata

·         Experience in working with onsite-offshore teams

 

Preferred Skills:

·         Experience in one or more of Sales, Finance, Retail and CRM domains
