 PL/SQL Developer

Bloomington, MN

Visa: any

Duration :6+

Need  database development skills Oracle/SQL/PL SQL, if they have Data Stage ETL background there will likely be additional work.  They are looking for a heads down developer, but communication and soft skills must be excellent.  All requirements have been written.  Some that can work independently.  HealthCare and data modelling experience are both nice to haves

 

Overview: Application Developer; The person in this position is responsible for developing scripts, code, and program logic that meet business and technical specifications; The person in this position will be responsible for testing and ensure that the appropriate standards for development and implementation are followed.

·  Develops program logic for changes based on business requirements and analyst specifications

·  Performs unit testing and assists with system and end‐user test planning and testing.

·  Develops and/or assists with test scripts; may manage the testing process, or advise business partners on testing components.

·  Analyses functional and technical requirements for moderate changes or enhancements and updates system designs and specifications.

·  Diagnoses system failures and corrects issues.

 

Required Qualifications:

·  Strong working knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming languages

·  Good understanding of system and application infrastructure and database architecture

·  Moderate experience with scripting tools

·  Excellent attention to detail

·  Proven ability to analyse business and technical requirements and deliver output based on those requirements

·  Experience with Microsoft Office and general desktop tools

·  Strong communication skills in technical and non‐technical vernacular

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Healthcare/health plan experience

·  Strong experience in ETL tools such as DataStage

·  Experience in data modelling tools such as Power Designer
