Position Description:
The BI Data Architect will be responsible for the following:
Lead, participate in gathering business requirements, analysis of source systems, define underlying data sources and transformation requirements, design suitable data model, and develop metadata for the Data Warehouse/Analytical Reporting.
Develop Entity-Relationship / Dimensional Data Models for relevant projects
Document data management processes and mentor other IT staff to develop data analysis and data modeling skills
Develop and ensure compliance with data modeling, data Integration , Business Intelligence, Data Quality standards, Master Data , managing the enterprise data model and managing all metadata in the current data warehouse environment
Teradata DBA activities including high performance physical database design & performance tuning.
Requirements
Strong Computer Science/Engineering/ Information Systems background required. A Bachelor's degree or higher is required with a minimum of 10+ years of industry experience.
9+ years in data warehousing projects with at least 4 years of full life cycle experience in implementation and support of DW Solutions on Teradata or other MPP Platform.
Hands on experience in data modeling; logical, physical and dimensional modeling
Hands on experience in Erwin Data modeling and Data Quality tool
Hands on experience with Teradata Physical design and performance tuning experience
Proven ability to lead and mentor in a team-oriented environment
Superior interpersonal and communication skills
Strong writing/documentation skills
Effective analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Desired
Media and Entertainment Industry experience plus
