These are 6 months contract to hire positions in Valencia, CA, or Miami, FL or Seattle, WA, looking for a Network Engineers and NOC Engineers.

 

Title: NOC (Network Operations Engineer)

Location: Valencia, Ca - Miami, FL or Seattle, WA and travel outside of US. US Passport REQUIRED

Duration: Contract to hire (6 months)

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·         The position requires a minimum of 7 years' hands-on experience working in a Network Operations Center within a large enterprise environment and in-depth knowledge of Cisco network hardware and protocols.  Experience managing large enterprise networks and telecommunications vendors and reporting on Service Level achievements is required.  Familiarity with the FCAPS model is expected.

·         Experience with Solarwinds, Cisco network routing/switching/WiFi, Cisco Prime is required.

·         Experience with Cisco Total Care, Cisco Network Compliance Manager, Keynote, MRTG, PRTG, SmokePing, Scrutinizer, Riverbed, Gigamon, Fluke Time Machine is preferred.

·         Knowledge and understanding of the following protocols is required –  TCP/IP, Syslog, SNMP, Cisco Debug, LACP, LLDP/CDP, TCP/IP, EIGRP, OSPF, HSRP SSH, Spanning Tree, Rapid Spanning Tree, VPC, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n, 802.11ac, Netflow and the FCAPS model.

·         Knowledge and understanding of the following protocols is preferred – BGP, I-BGP, E-BGP, MPLS, GLBP, VSS, VDC, OTV, RTP, SIP, H.323, LWAPP, RADIUS, TACACS+, Ethernet, Fiber Channel, Fiber Channel over Ethernet, iSCSI, NFS, XML, DNS, DHCP, ITILv3 and PCI.

·         Ability to multi-task projects, strong interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong written and oral communication skills.  Strong organizational skills, working knowledge of group dynamics Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:   Cisco CCNA or equivalent enterprise experience

 

Overview:

·         As the Network Operations Engineer you will be responsible for the management, operations, real-time monitoring, security compliance and optimal availability of our clients enterprise network infrastructure.  The engineer will be a member of a 24×7 team of engineers that will manage, operate and report on the Global network infrastructure.

·         The Network Operations Engineer has direct responsibility for the day to day management and continuous operation of our enterprise network infrastructure and large portions of our security infrastructure.  The candidate will typically be challenged with ensuring that our environment is properly monitored despite a rapid pace of change and will work to ensure that any issues encountered in the environment are acknowledged, remediated and permanently resolved as to ensure availability is continually improved.

·         The Network Operations Engineer is responsible for…

·         The management and operations of the enterprise network infrastructure, which encompasses the following activities…

·         Management and Operations of our enterprise network infrastructure and portions of our security infrastructure within a Network Operations Center environment

·         Ensure optimal uptime of our infrastructure through the use of proactive monitoring and timely incident response

·         Real-time monitoring of all network nodes and network related devices within the network infrastructure from a Fault, Change, Performance, Security, Inventory and Maintenance perspective
