Title: Software QA Analyst

Software QA Tester with Strong Healthcare (HL7)
DUTIES / ACTIVITIES:
Participate in the product life-cycle from design to release, following the Waterfall and/or Agile development methodology.
Ability to write test plans and test cases and execute the tests against the Functional Requirements in the QA environment.
Ability to test the applications Inbound and Outbound Interfaces (HL7) through the Integrations HUB consisting of Informatica (ETL Processes) and Oracle databases.
Experience with the Revenue Management Cycle applications such as Soarian Financials.
Experience testing with Patient Registration/Admission, Insurance Verification, Claims processing (837I & 837P, etc.), Charge Posting & Revenue Reconciliation, and Custom Report validation.
Report defects in HP QC/ALM and work through the resolution of the defects.
Work with the technical support, and core development engineers to address the product usability, reliability, functionality, and performance-related issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of experience in Software QA and testing in the Web based application architecture in the Healthcare industry.
Have a strong technical background (quantitative or engineering degree is preferred).
Experience with modern Web Frameworks, Oracle, SQL Server Databases, and Windows OS.
Fluent in SQL Scripting using Toad, WinSQL and SQL Server 200X.
Comprehensive understanding of QA methodologies and how to adapt them to the specific needs of our organization and products.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Great experience with HP QC for managing the test cases and the testing cycles.
Be a self-starter and ability to work with a group of QA and developers.
Hands on experience in creating detailed test plans and test cases from use cases and/or technical requirements documents, and performing manual testing.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with the local and remote QA team members, developers and business analysts.
Ability to log defects and work through resolution and closure of the defects.
Ability to participate in the product design discussions, analyze the product requirements and formulate them into test plans/test cases.
Healthcare or Clinical background required.
Soarian Clinicals or Soarian Financials experience is a big plus.
