Cisco Voice Engineer
New York City, NY
6+ Months Contract
Local to NY and NJ only/-

Responsibilities: 
At times, the candidate may take part in service and business management activities related to Core Voice (RFI/RFP, service planning).
Voice Design/Implementation/Trouble-shooting: Design, order and turn-up/test voice circuits. Troubleshoot issues on circuits and lines by bringing carrier where needed.
Disaster Recovery/Resiliency Planning/Documentation: Partner with the customer to review requirements, design and implement a sound Recovery within current location and off-site location in the event the current environment is no longer available. Complete orders to carriers and validate with testing as requested by the customer.
Document all plans and keep them on Sharepoint.
Configure and troubleshoot voice dial-peers on Cisco gateways (38xx, 28xx, 29xx)
Experience with Solarwinds Management tool
Configure and troubleshoot dial-plans on SIP Proxy (Aricent)
The candidate must have excellent client interfacing skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with all levels of management. Candidate should have experience operating with colleagues across different time zones with a flexible approach to working hours (ability to work varied hours and weekends a must) in order to successfully interact and communicate on a global level.
