Citrix Engineer
Location: Fort Worth, TX (With Remote work 2-3 days a week)
Contract Terms: 6 Months+ Long Term

The Virtualization Engineer will participate in an advanced
engineering and support role within the area of VMWare ESX, Citrix
XenDesktop, Citrix XenApp, Citrix Provisioning Server. The incumbent
will provide escalation support to the Virtualization Services Team
Tier 2.

Virtualization Engineers will coordinate implementation of recommended
solutions with operational teams and evaluate the impact of changes
across global sites.

Virtualization Engineers will work with project teams to develop plans
for mitigating any possible adverse impacts. Virtualization Engineers
will be responsible for coordinating testing and approving solutions.

Role Requirements
* Virtualization Engineers will have extensive knowledge and
understandings of the infrastructure architecture and global
standards;
* Apply Virtualized engineering skill sets to provide solutions for
specific projects and in general to improve the efficiency and
effectiveness.
* Knowledge of Citrix Netscaler and Access Gateway would be beneficial.
* Enforce Application Lifecycle Management Framework.
* Work with Application Business owners to utilize the Application
Lifecycle Framework and collaborate closely with Desktop Engineering
packaging team to ensure standards;
* Maximize number of applications per XenApp virtual disk to maintain
a least # of images possible;
* Collaborate with Anti-virus team to maintain best practice
exclusions for XenApp, XenDesktop, Appsense, Provisioning Servers, and
Windows 7 virtual operating systems;
* Collaborate with Application Business owners to migrate legacy
environments to new XenApp 6.5 FR3, Provisioning Server 6.1.1, and
XenDesktop 7.1.
