Position: Web QA Analyst
Location: Deer Park, New York (Long Island)
Duration: 12 Month

Job Description:
We are looking for a QA Analyst who will be responsible for executing
quality assurance test plans as they relate to Web Based Applications.
S/He will works with project teams to ensure standard quality
practices/processes are followed and/or design and execute test plans
and procedures for acceptance testing of new or modified applications
and/or systems in an environment of diverse development platforms,
computing environments, software, hardware technology and tools, etc.
This includes managing all aspects of this testing effort - planning,
execution, defects, reporting, functional specifications, and data
quality of applications. The position requires the ability to work on
multiple projects with limited supervision, collaborate with business
analysts, users, product managers, developers, and other quality
assurance engineers to produce and execute test strategies and plans
for new and existing products.



Knowledge and Experience Required:
Experience in test case creation and testing for application Load,
reliability, failover, WS testing, and Web Services with .NET or Java
Web Applications
Ability to write detailed test plans, and thoroughly document defects
identified for web based systems
Good test planning and execution skills; including requirements
mapping, test case design and implementation, regression execution and
results analysis
Test execution (conduct UI tests, migration tests, database checks)
Experience in database testing with SQL and/or Oracle; writing and
executing complex SQL queries against a relational database
Strong test management skills and experience in running large,
cross-enterprise testing initiatives
Experience with metrics definition and measurements of quality
Knowledge of IT systems, database design, and relational data
structures/models/relationships
Ability to analyze and solve problems and work with the team to
identify and fix the root cause of the problems (be it data quality,
performance, or programmatic)
Good communication skills with development teams and business and
project management groups
