Job Title : QA Tester with Hadoop exp

Job Location : San Jose,CA

Duration : 6 Months

 

Looking for a Software QA engineer who can perform a wide range of testing on large-scale distributed web-based applications (front-end and back-end), including but not limited to: acceptance, functional, data integrity, API, regression, performance, and usability testing. Duties include development of utilities in java, writing test cases based on high-level test plan and system requirements, executing test cases,  and analyzing results, detecting and tracking defects using defined bug tracking system, recording and reporting test results using test plan management system. Should be able to debug issues and identify the cause while automating test cases.Very close interaction with development, support, and client teams with minimal supervision to fulfill commitments. Also expected to participate in Quality improvement initiatives with other team members.

 

Education:

BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent degree

 

Technical Skills & Experience:

Required:

-          6-8 years of QA experience, with strong Automation background

- 
2-3 years of core Java experience (Must have the ability to understand/write programs)

-        
At least 3 years of hands-on Test Automation Experience (using Java and RFT or Selenium)

-   
Strong DB/SQL scripting skills (should be able to read/write complex SQL queries/join statements, should understand all core DB concepts, familiar with DB views/procedures/triggers)

-          1-2 years of hands-on Testing experiences with SOAP/Web Services.

-          Experience with Agile/Scrum development framework.

-          Experience in developing detailed test plans, test cases (positive, negative, boundary value, equivalence partitioning, decision tables, data matrix, etc.), test reports, etc

-        Big Data Knowledge.

-          Pentaho PDI, Scoop/Flume and MapR Hadoop, Hbase experts

Nice to have:

-          Certifications (SCJP)
