Position: Senior Oracle Apps DBA
Location: CA
Duration: Long term
| Description:
• Monitoring of the DBs and applications components, proactive provisions on the environment, restore the service in case of incidents, work with the SMEs (subject matter expert) on the level 3 issues in case of bug or specific technology stack issues
• Work with DBA and infrastructure team on the upgrades, patches, clones and resolution of cross functional issues
• Provide support to the Functional and Development teams during the build and implementation phases
• Advance monitoring and support backend environments - implement changes to improve robustness, performance and smooth operations
• Create technical specifications (MD.120) for installation routines
• Maintain standard operation procedures for best practice reference within the DBA team
• Writing Database/Unix scripts for automation of regular tasks
• Participate to the maintenance of global converging Oracle solutions architecture and standard procedures within the Global DBA team Experience
• At least 6-8 years of professional experience in IT department
• At least 6 years of experience on Oracle DB 10g or 11g, with certification
• At least 4-6 years of experience as hands on Application DBA on Oracle eBusiness Suite, with 11i or R12 version, with Finance and Operation modules (HRMS is a plus)
• Experience in Production mode administration, best-practice and Production know-how
• Experience of one or several EBS implementation Oracle eBusiness suite implementation / roll out
• Experience / specialization in one or several technical area of Application DBA (i.e.: RAC, performance, architecture, Forms, Reports, CM, Interfaces, advanced Scripting, modules patching/structure/dependencies)
• Experience of EBS implemented with multiple OS, version and architecture is a plus Competencies Must
• Strong technical knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite and its components
• Solid know-how and hands on in Oracle EBS application setup and administration
