Description:
The developer to play an integral role in the growth of our enterprise wide data resource capabilities and business intelligence solutions. Work within a team focused on providing Data Resource Management (DBA, Data Analyst, ETL), Enterprise Reporting, and Business Intelligence Solutions to internal and external customers. Proven ability to successfully manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Proven execution of Business Intelligence development in a fast paced environment. Critical thinking and strong analytical skills are required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer / business needs and translate them into data needed and appropriate reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Working with IT organization and Business and IT Teams to educate, create, organize, plan, and define reports.
• Assisting with defining and updating Data Governance and Data Compliance Policies.
• Awareness and assistance with the growth of the data warehouse, business intelligence reporting and analytical environments
• Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team. Participate in structure to capture process improvement ideas from the team and communicate to other groups
• Effectively communicate and present project status
• Measure, track and meet SLA metrics (data cycle time, schedule, accuracy, rework)
• Gain knowledge of new customer's business, organization and key objectives associated with reporting needs
Minimum Requirements:
• 3-6 Years as a Business Intelligence and Enterprise Reporting staff member in a data driven, fast paced organization. Prior technical experience as a DBA, Data Architect, or Business Intelligence Developer in enterprise settings is recommended.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science or comparable field.
• Critical thinker and ability to effectively communicate to internal team and Business Teams
• Microsoft ETL knowledge – DTS, SSIS
• Data Warehousing knowledge
• Business Intelligence knowledge – particularly with Microsoft tools
• Logical/Physical Database Modeling knowledge
• Data Warehouse experience
• Experience/knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is preferred.
• Experience/knowledge with Microsoft SQL Replication is preferred.
• Continuously upgrades technical/functional skills to meet current job objectives and further developmental goals
• Prior development experience with Microsoft tools, Data Warehouses, and/ or Enterprise Business Intelligence with leading BI Tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and work cohesively in a fast paced environment.
• Familiarity with various performance and measurement tools
