Description:
The Cognos BI Developer Senior / Architect is expected to have experience working with OLAP/Reporting/Query tools with multiple RDBMS environments on multiple platforms. Persons in this role will support BI (OLAP/Reporting/Query) processes and tools, which may include commercial off-the-shelf BI products. Specifically, the person in this role must be able/have experience in supporting the following:
1. Cognos version 8.4.1 and 10.1 and 10.2 – all studios.
2. Dimensional Modeling.
3. Data Warehousing.
4. Business Intelligence (BI) practices.
5. Developing Framework Manager Models.
6. Working with Cognos Transformer and Cube technology.
7. Installation, configuration, and administration of tools.
8. Management and maintenance of tools' software releases.
9. Metadata development.
10. Report development.
11. Supervising, guiding and mentoring junior team members.
12. Creating and maintaining data delivery standards to ensure consistent information delivery methods across projects.
13. Project management support.
14. SDLC processes.
15. Writing SQL.
16. Unit Testing.
17. Clear Quest Ticket Management.
18. Data Analysis.
19. Health Care/Insurance knowledge is a plus
