Position Details:

 

Position  : SAS Analyst

Location  : Pittsburgh, PA

Duration : 6+ months
Interview: Telephonic and Skype

 

 Green card or citizens

 

BI Analysts with heavy SAS experience (someone able to implement and maintain a SAS environment).

I also need:

 

Works closely with internal and external customers and in prioritizing data and information requirements. This position provides analysis in the development and support of projects, internal operational and financial reporting, and external regulatory and ad hoc reporting. Determines how decision support systems will provide information required to make effective business decisions; translates requirements into regulatory reports, internal reports, and, in some cases, applications that employ appropriate decision support and reporting tools. Recommends innovative approaches to analytical investigations. Performs modeling of data sources and flows, works with data management staff to define an operational framework that will define, develop and implement policies and security frameworks to ensure precise and secure delivery of knowledge and information. Experience in the development of health plan analytical reports and applications in SAS is a requirement.

 

Bachelor's degree in: Computer/Information Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, ,Industrial Engineering or Operations Research or High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years of experience in a decision support, business analyst, business intelligence or data analyst role

A minimum of (2) years experience as a Decision Support Analyst or a role in a business or clinical environment with direct responsibility for applying technology.

A minimum of (2) years experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analyst role in a business environment with responsibility for application of technology in the solution of business problems

 

Preferred

MBA or Master's level degree, JD or PhD

1+ years of healthcare analytics experience a Government Health payer is a strong plus

Experience in financial analysis also a plus

Experience in developing dashboards and reporting for senior management and operations, visual analytics experience

Advanced MS Excel skills Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare. Practical experience in healthcare operations (especially provider) is highly desirable
