Job Description:

 

NEED Solid Service Provider level BGP and MPLS skills. Key things are Multi tenant MPLS Backbone, L2/L3 MPLS VPN, Multi provider BGP Peering (Route Maps, custom community strings, DDOS Blackhole).  Perl/Python experience is a solid bonus as well.  

 

STRONG PLUS: CCIE certification

• Experience in e-commerce, load balancing, data center, service operations center.
• Experience in the Service Provider space.  Netskilled, firewalls, Nexus, Data carriers.
• This is a "cloud" environment. The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment and sustaining processes required to provide carrier class network services to our customers.

 

Requirements:

• Typically requires BS, CS, or equivalent plus 8+ years progressive experience in network engineering or telecommunications support environment.
• Expert level knowledge in at least TWO of the following and strong knowledge in all other areas of:
• IP networking and LAN Switching.
• WAN circuits and protocols (Ethernet, MPLS, DWDM, SONET).
• Dynamic IP Routing protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, PIM Multicast).
• Expertise on latest Cisco hardware and operating systems (CRS, ASR9k, IOS-XR, IOS)
• Expertise in inter-AS connectivity (eBGP, MPLS)
• Experience in service provider backbone design & operations
• Virtualization technologies, both networking (VRF, VDC, Nexus1kv) and compute (VMware, Open stack)
• Expert level networking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
• Large-scale network design skills.
• In-depth knowledge of network management, network availability and capacity planning.
• Must have exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Must be creative and have initiative.
• CCIE or equivalent is a plus.
