Job Description:
Responsibilities: Voice Communication Engineer and Technical Lead
This position is responsible for leading, planning, and implementing VoIP operational support. The candidate will set goals, monitor work, and evaluate results to ensure objectives and operating requirements are achieved.
The primary focus of this position is daily operational support and team leadership. Face-to-face contact with CEO and executive staff may be required.
The candidate could also be tasked with general network support and build-outs including security, routing, switching, wireless, and similar network related duties.
The candidate will also be expected to provide mentoring, training, and support for junior technical staff and Contractors.
In addition to strong VoIP implementation and support experience with enterprise accounts, the successful candidate should also have a proven record of the following:
1. Ability to approach problems in a business-like manner;
2. Strong attention to detail;
3. Exceptional verbal and written skills;
4. Ability to apply judgment, implement solutions, and resolve conflicts with multiple stakeholders including contractors.
This is a voice network operations leadership position in Atlanta Georgia (downtown location). In support of recent contract expansion, we are forming a new team to provide operational voice support for 10 thousand +/- users
on multiple technologies including Cisco and Siemens Unify. VIP support and other client-facing responsibilities across 11 client facilities in the Greater Atlanta area is required 5 days per week. Position will provide direct handson
role to meet client's SLA requirements where resource will provide on-site direct support and after hours on-call access as needed such as escorting OEM vendors during incidents, outages and planned maintenance windows.
Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers? business needs and, consequently, for understanding customers? businesses. As trusted advisor create and maintain effective customer relationships so as to insure customer satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience. May have Master's degree in related field. Often holds intermediate-level certification(s) in work field. Typically 8+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge and Skills Required:
· Demonstrated technical ability to lead and manager operational support on various VoIP platforms including Cisco and Siemens PBX or similar.
· May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. 8+ years of professional experience and a Master of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a Master's degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (15+ years in total).
