Position Type: Contract
Position Description:
The required position is for one project manager to lead multiple Information Technology (IT) projects in support of the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD).
Skills Required:
Solid skills in project management utilizing a formal project management methodology.
Solid skills in project scheduling utilizing a project scheduling tool such as MS Project.
Solid skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to communicate technical terminology at levels appropriate to the audience both orally and in writing.
Skills Preferred:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Agile Scrum skills.
Experience Required:
7+ years of experience in project management utilizing a formal project management methodology, including experience in project planning, scheduling, tracking, issue management, risk management, change management, and status reporting.
7+ years of experience in project scheduling utilizing a project scheduling tool such as MS Project.
7+ years of experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 1+ years of experience in Agile.
Experience Preferred:
Experience with State of Michigan SUITE Project Management Methodology (PMM) and System Engineering Methodology (SEM) preferred.
Experience in Agile Scrum. COTS Implementation experience.
Education Preferred:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Agile Scrum Master Certification.
Additional Info:
Must have extensive experience in Agile.
Must be Certified Scrum Master.
The technical environment for performing the work includes, but is not limited to Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project), Changepoint, and Microsoft Outlook/Exchange.
