POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The release analyst position provides cross-functional and cross-departmental leadership to ensure efficient methods for release management across Global IT. The release analyst supports release managers on the requirements gathering and implementation of cutover planning. The release analyst will ensure SOX compliance documentation is maintained. They could communicate regularly with the higher level management and project managers.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Enhance policies and processes that will be leveraged across Global IT
• Utilize excellent organizational skills for managing, sequencing and scheduling of tasks and activities with an emphasis on coordinating work as well as release process compliance
• Provides support to the release managers on release activities to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within guidelines, standards with supportable technologies.
• Ensure use of standardized methods and techniques in the preparation, building, implementation of cutover planning and communications
• Analysis of the process to identify bottlenecks, opportunities for improvement by comparing data against established process Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
• Produce and maintain appropriate communications to all stakeholders regarding releases
• Assist in identifying and scheduling deliverables, milestones and required tasks
• Prepare release reports for management and other stakeholders
• Plan, coordinate, and direct cutover test & cutover execution for major critical platforms
• Responsible for compliance to all corporate policies, SOX and audit controls for release activities
• Create/Maintain project plans utilizing Microsoft Project
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's degree
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
• 1+ years cross-functional IT, operations and/or business experience with a Bachelor's degree
