Business Intelligence Engineer – Tableau Server

 

Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: 6+ Months

Rate : Open

 

Job Description:

As an engineer on the BI team, the resource is responsible for executing the development & support of our BI solutions.  Our BI solutions consist of both a Netezza Data Warehouse with OBIEE as well aas a Hadoop platform thus providing reporting solutions across our enterprise.  This position will work closely with our business partners & BI technical lead ensuring solutions meet their objectives including oversight of project delivery as well as management of day to day support activities.   This position is also primarily to support the Tableau Server installation and environment acting as both the knowledge set for Tableau as well as technical writer for the installation and governance.

 

Requirements

·         Experience with Tableau and Tableau Server

·         Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, Clearstory, etc

·         Experience with ETL tools such as datastage, informatica, etc

·         Experience working in a matrixed environment

·         Expertise in delivery processes such as Agile & Waterfall

·         Knowledge of development lifecycle tools such as JIRA, Fogbugz, ALM, etc

Responsibilities

·         Work with the BI and the infrastructure teams to document process, installation, environment, etc. pertaining directly with the installation of Tableau Server

·         Build & support BI solutions using Tableau

·         Work with business partners to identify requirements

·         Work with Project Management to provide timely estimates, updates & status
