Title: Reports Developer

Location:  South San Francisco, CA

Duration: 6+Months

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This position will develop and maintain ETL programs for financial and operational data. Develop and customize reports as per business requirements. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Work with business users, developers and system architects to define, specify and review reporting requirements.

- Design and Develop ETL scripts.

- Implement a reporting server framework and integrate reports.

- Design and develop custom reports.

- Document the deliverables and work with software QA staff to ensure quality deliverables.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- 5- 8 years experience in developing reports in an enterprise system

- Proficiency in SQL and ETL tools

- Experience in reporting engines like Jasper, BIRT or similar technologies

- Experience with reporting tools like Crystal Reports, Apache POI APIs

- Experience with relational databases. Oracle or PostgreSQL database is a plus

- Experience with data warehousing and start-schema (dimensional) data models

- Experience with Operational and (or) financial systems

- Experience with formal configuration management practices

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

- BS in computer science or engineering.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Generally in an office environment.
