Oracle Systems DBA

Location: St. Louis, MO

Duration: 6-12 months

Rate:DOE

Position Overview:

Responsible for design, implementation and maintenance of production databases and data dictionaries in compliance with application specifications and company policies, standards and procedures.  Manages and maintains all production and non-production Oracle databases. 

Qualifications::-

. 9 plus years of experience working with various database management systems in database design, testing, implementation, maintenance and administration in a multiple platform environment

. Experience in Install, configure of database software and patches

. Experience in Oracle database upgrades from 9i, 10g to 11gR2

. Experience in SQL, Oracle PL/SQL tuning and analyze database performance issues and recommend solutions

. Experience in High Availability i.e. RAC (RAC One Node) and Data Guard

. Experience in ASM, OEM grid Control, partitioning, SQL*Loader

Essential Functions of the Position:-

. Maintain and Support Oracle Databases in a 24x7x365 production environment on Solaris and Linux.

. Backups/recovery, database refresh using RMAN and datapump (expdp/impdp).

. Migrate databases from Solaris to Linux

Nice to have:

. Experience in MySQL installation, backup/recovery, replication and clustering on a Linux platform
