Dashboard & Services Developer (Silverlight)

Software Design Engineer in Test
Redmond, WA
6+ Months
Primary Skills: Software Design Engineer in Test (SDET) to help test and deliver applications on devices like Windows8 and iPhone. An ideal candidate must possess strong technical aptitude, and must be passionate about quality and testing. He/she should be self-driven, being able to ramp up quickly in an highly agile environment and working independently to deliver results. The role has a strong emphasis on testing device applications, so prior experience in that space would be ideal. The candidate should also possess strong communication skills, and should be able to collaborate effectively with a remote development team.
The job responsibilities include:
· Defining test plans and strategies for device application testing
· Implementing test frameworks and automated tests for device application testing
· Scheduling periodic test passes and independently troubleshoot/debug failures, logging discovered issues.
· Managing and control bug reports and drive bugs to resolution.
· Working closely with the development, program management and the User Experience team to deliver an excellent customer experience
The job qualifications include:
· Strong testing aptitude with deep understanding of testing concepts, methodologies and processes
· Strong communication skills
· Experience with the SCRUM model and agile methodologies preferred
· Prior experience with testing applications on devices (iPhone, Windows8) is highly desirable
· 4 plus years work related experience preferred
· A BS/BA in computer science or equivalent work experience required
