Database Developer for our client who is one of the world's largest diversified financial services companies. This is a contract that is looking for senior level application developer / analyst with 10 to 15 years experience with an in-depth knowledge of Java. For immediate consideration please apply.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent database design and development skills working with Sybase Adaptive Server, DB2, or other RDBMS.
Strong data modeling experience is a plus.
Candidate should be proficient in creating/modifying tables, indexes, and stored procedures, and should have experience working with large volumes of data.
In addition, the candidate should be an experienced Java developer, with working knowledge of topics listed in the skills section below. Perl/scripting knowledge is also desirable.
Individual must be self-starter, be able to able to work within a large team, and have strong analytical skills. While the role will be primarily focused development,
Skills Required In-depth knowledge of Sybase, DB2 or other RDBMS, SQL, and stored procedure development
Data Modeling concepts and tools - Data Warehouse/Data Mart design concepts
Knowledge in the Financial data arena (risk/trade data)
In-depth knowledge of UNIX/Linux environment
Perl, ksh scripting languages
Skills Desired
Knowledge of Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) tool concepts ?
.Net C# - OO - Openness to and enthusiasm for learning new technologies
