Position: ASP.NET/VB.Net Programmer(Web Application Developer)
Location: Sacramento, CA
Interview: Phone+ F2F
Rate: $47/hr
The application is a web based solution written ASP.NET andVB.NET. Must have a min of 5 years experience with ASP.NET and VB.Net and very strong SQL database development experience.
Application Developers will be responsible for working with the State team on development and coding tasks. The Web Application Developers will have responsibility for the development of code based on the project specific modifications using industry best practices and will also be responsible for all levels of testing and pre-release management.
To ensure project success, it is essential that current generally accepted practices be applied to this project in a manner that is consistent with Microsoft application development standards and guidelines.
1. The Web Application Developers are also responsible for the following:
1) Ensuring requirements fit in with the overall development approach.
2) Completing and finalizing the technical functional specifications of assigned tasks.
3) Assisting database administrators in remodeling the CaRES database schema and migration of data.
4) Developing prototypes for web user interfaces and validation.
5) Making necessary modifications to Master Pages, User Controls, Pages, and CSS for the presentation layer.
6) Developing the Business / Service layer that incorporates the business logic for the application.
7) Developing the Data Access Layer to interact with the stored procedures on the back end.
8) Developing Stored Procedures.
9) Writing clean code following standard guidelines for the project and including comments describing blocks of code.
10) Developing unit tests and test case scenarios.
11) Developing documentation for assigned work and modules.
12) Conducting knowledge transfer to state staff related to assigned work and modules as required.
