Continued growth has created an opening for an Senior Developer in St. Louis, MO to work with our USDA team located in St. Louis, Missouri.  This position will work closely with the project team in the area of Object Oriented, web-based application development.

 

Responsibilities / Duties:

• Lead the design, architecture, development, testing, implementation, and support.

• Perform development tasks.

• Mentor junior developers.

 

Required Skills:

•        8-10 years work experience in solution analysis, design, and construction in a Java-based environment.

•        Experience leading teams.

•        Architecting and designing applications.

•        Experience with service oriented design and architecture.

•        Experience with legacy modernization and business process reengineering.

•        Develop prototypes for technology and UI evaluation process.

•        Strong understanding of OS, Object oriented design and design patterns.

•        Experience with Eclipse based IDE, SOAP, REST, SOA, and DB2 stored procedures.

•        Experience with Agile/Scrum/RUP methodologies.

•        Experience with advanced GUI development.

•        Proven ability to innovate and work jointly with other team members.

•        Experience in open source frameworks such as Spring, Struts, and Hibernate.

•        Full lifecycle development experience

•        Experience with web technologies such has HTML, XML, JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, CSS, and PHP.

 

 

Preferred Skills:

•        Working in enterprise software companies developing scalable applications.

•        Experience developing iPhone applications and knowledge of iPhone SDK/platform, Objective C and Cocoa development.

•        Architecting and designing mobile applications (iPhone, Android).

•        Experience with Eclipse based IDE, SOAP, REST, SOA, and DB2 stored procedures.

•        Familiar with Section 508 requirements.

•        Familiar with Linux/Unix command line environment.

•        Familiar with Active Server Pages (ASP).

 

Education / Experience

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline plus 8+ years of experience.
