Job Title: IT - Developer (Specialty) IV
Duration: 8 mo contract
Location: Minneapolis, MN
We are seeking a skilled Front End Developer with expert Java script experience to join our development team.
Please note that this is not a design focused role. This resource will not be designing anything as it is an analytics position. Please make sure your candidates know that this is an analytics role.
Project Description: Tag Management Project will be the main project through December. Possibility to extend the contract past Feb.
Must haves:
4 year degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or software engineering / development or equivalent experience.
2 years' work experience in development minimum
Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:
- Lead development of online user experiences to satisfy business requirements by hand-coding high quality cross-browser compatible HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery code. Be an expert in these technologies and have a strong point of view on what "great" should look like.
- Bridge the gap between design and technology, pairing with visual designers, information architects, and other engineers/developers to build pixel-perfect user experiences.
- Find UI bugs and eliminate them. Cleaning up old and broken code should rank high on your list of therapeutic activities.
- Lead the charge in creating reusable processes, components, and tools that others can leverage to accelerate progress. Work with other UI leads to oversee development work across all UI workstreams and to mentor less-experienced developers in development standards and best practices.
Stay up to date on the latest technology trends and techniques - and be prepared to propose new ideas when there is strong business value.
Nice to haves:
Experience working with web analytics tools like Google Analytics, Site Catalyst etc…
Experience working in e-commerce
Experience working in large corporate environments
