Role: Senior SQL DBA (8 years exp)

Location: Washington DC

Duration: 6+MONTHS

Client: State of Washington

 

Description:

·         Senior database engineer with a minimum of 8 years of database experience.

·         Must have extensive experience in SQL database, and SQL Cluster design and implementation, Oracle experience is also a highly desired skill set.

·         The candidate must be a senior SQL database engineer with experience managing hundreds of SQL database in an enterprise environment. Candidate must possess a minimum of 8 years of database experience. Candidate must be able to design, build, and maintain SQL servers and clustered SQL systems, Oracle experience is highly desired.

·         Candidate must have hands on experience with SQL 2012 and SQL 2008.

 

Required Skills:

·         SQL 2005, 2008, Migration, installation, configuration, and maintenance

·         Database analysis tuning and Migration of MS SQL 2008 and above

·         SQL cluster design, installation, configurations and management

·         Design, deployment and manage SQL environment using SQL server management studio and reporting services

·         Experienced in SQL 2005, and 2008 backup and restore

·         Daily operational management and in-depth troubleshooting MS SQL 2005, 2008 and 2012 (1-2 years for 2012)

·         In-depth knowledge of SQL 2005, 2008 and at least 1 years of 2012

 

Highly Desired Skills:

·         Oracle 10g and 11g experience in troubleshooting configuration and management

·         Experience with windows server 2003, 2008, and 2012 operating systems (1 year for 2012)
