Role: Business Analyst - Cloud Consumptions

Location: SanJose, CA

Duration: 6+ Months

Interview: Phone then Skype

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role Definition

 

·         Work on Financial Analysis, Business Analysis deliverables for multiple concurrent customer facing Cloud Consumption engagements and Cloud Strategy Workshops

·         Is central to serving as a trusted advisor through the more open-ended Optimization Cloud Consumption Service

·         As part of Optimization delivery, provide IT Audit support to customers and develop their budgetary roadmap based on technology framework and business requirements

·         Engage the customer to determine their business requirements, Cloud governance process maturity and people readiness for Cloud consumption

·         Engage customers in Cloud Strategy Workshops to guide them on financial and governance aspects of Cloud consumption and driving customers to take next steps towards Cloud adoption

·         Track deliverables against the engagement schedule and support the PM track financial, resource and material requirements for the engagements

·         Ensure compliance to delivery methodology operational structure, roles & responsibilities

·         Participate in weekly status meetings and other ad-hoc interactions with the customer managing specific asks from the customer and managing customer expectations from Cloud Consumption engagements

·         Responsible for delivering against the engagement budgeted hours working with delivery manager

·         Understand and demonstrate Cisco value proposition to the business owner, understand Cisco Portfolio and offerings at a high level to engage customers in upsell discussions

 

Skills Required Across All Activities

 

·         Has delivered professional services engagements in Cloud technology consulting space

·         Has sound financial business case modeling concepts

·         Has strong consulting capabilities (effective communication, directly facing customer senior management)

·         Has high level knowledge of routing, routing protocols, switching, internet and general network architecture

·         Has clear understanding of types and NIST categories of Cloud services

·         Understands high level Cloud technology roadmaps and can define business case for its specific components

·         Can engage customers in conversations to gather business requirements

·         Has good customer facing skills and can understand customer expectations

·         Has a good knowledge of sales process including risk assessment and scoping

 

Education and Experience Level Required

 

·         Requires BS/BE/BTech degree or equivalent plus 6+ years of related experience in IT consulting space

·         MBA degree preferred
