Job Description:

Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. May require a bachelor's degree and at least 4years or equivalent of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of Contractor staff. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

 

ODOT Specific Description

 

The purpose of this request is to procure Project Management Services centered primarily around the Business Intelligence/Datawarehouse (BI/DW) Program and specifically the INRIX/HERE project for the Transportation Data Division/ Intelligent Transportation Systems (TDD/ITS) business lines. This position is located within the ODOT Technical Services/Strategic Services Branch Data Warehouse Program.  The following are typical responsibilities for this position.

 

Position is responsible for the day-to-day project management duties. Managing scope, schedule, budget and resource issues. Managing and updating a risk/issue log, producing status reports for senior management. Giving presentations of project status and keeping business staff informed of project progress. This particular project is about bringing data from external ODOT sources and extract, transforming and loading the data into the BI/DW environment and organizing the data for business line consumption.

 

Project Manager must:

. Be familiar with standard lifecycle methodology,

. Have knowledge of project management industry best practices

. Have excellent communication skills with both it and business staff

. Understand microsoft office tool sets for project management

. Have knowledge and awareness of business. Intelligence/datawarehouse concepts and principles intelligence/datawarehouse concepts and principles.
