Details :
MySQL DBA, Linux or Unix, working on multi-tenant environment, Cloud
· 8+ yrs Experience
· Sound knowledge (MySQL) database for below activities
o Implement and maintain the database design
o Create database objects (tables, indexes, etc.)
o Write database procedures, functions and triggers
o Assist developers with database activities
o Documentation of existing schemas
o Consolidation of existing schemas (Base schema + Patches, initialize scripts etc...)
o Perform database tuning(Database/OS) related and performance monitoring
o Perform application tuning(Queries, Query size, result set size etc..) and performance monitoring
o Monitor application related jobs and data replication activities
o Tools/Plan for data generation (Functional/Integration and Load testing)
o Experience with code and database migration/management through various stages of the development life cycle
· Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
· Ability to understand business domain/process working with cross functional teams (Application, DBA, Release etc....)
· Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support when required
· Work with onsite/offshore team
· Good communication skills with development teams, vendors and system administrators
· Hands on knowledge of Java, JDBC and ORM mapping tools like Hibernate and ability to code if required
