Responsible for analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation of new features and updates to existing application software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required. Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to work with multiple organizational functions and levels.
Responsibilities include:
· Support legacy application written in COBOL, TBAM database (hierarchical) running on a AIX/RHELinux platform
· Analyze end user needs to identify and design an effective solution
· Design, write, test, and implement new programs and modifications to existing programs
· Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines successfully
Qualifications include:
- 7 + years experience as COBOL programmer analyst
· Korn Shell programming is required
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Self-starter, able to adapt and become productive quickly
· Ability to communicate effectively with end users and technical staff
· Experience with legacy system conversions
· Background in SQL, VB.net a plus
