We have an immediate opening for a Senior Developer in Montgomery, AL.  Long term contract  rate of $52 an hour,  Job description below for your review.   They have gone up on the rate so I wanted to reach out again. 

Develop software modules and unit tests on behalf of the Project - Other tasks as assigned by the Project Sponsor and Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works on large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and possesses knowledge in a specific business area.
  • Develops, maintains, and supports applications for the Project.
  • Gathers and analyzes requirements.
  • Programs all or selected components of Web applications. Documents components and applications.
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends new Internet tools and applications for use in assigned responsibilities.
  • This job is at the senior level and requires experience in a variety of the more difficult Web tools and languages.
  • Works on one or more projects as a project team member or project leader.
  • Requires full proficiency in C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and other technologies as identified by the development manager.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate clearly via written and spoken word to multiple stakeholders including peers, mid-level and senior leadership.
  • Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Senior Developer  shall, at a minimum, meet the following requirements or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience:

 

Experience:

  • Experience with State Government, Medicaid, CHIP and DHR business area or healthcare industry
  • Six years of experience in software development experience
  • Experience with project development methodology and able to apply methodology in a practical manner
  • Needs to be able to work independently and not rely on State or other team members for direction

 

Skill/Technology:

  • Working hands-on with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Process knowledge and experience with Agile software projects
  • Ability to document code developed by analyst

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with advance education in fields related to position or equivalent experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the English language
